Documents and Visa Types

Please select the purpose of your trip in Denmark within one of the following categories of applications. Visas for Iceland, Greenland and Faroe Islands will follow the same process and require the same documents as Denmark visa applications.

Resident permit

Any long stay or visit of more than 90 days (except Re-entry visa)

Family member of EU citizen

You wish to go to Denmark to visit one of your family member who is EU/EEA citizen. Family member means: the spouse, the direct descendants who are not yet 21 years old or who are financially dependant, the direct ascendants who are financially dependant, and the direct ascendants and descendants who are financially dependant of the spouse.

Professional purpose

You are going to Denmark for a business trip, work or other professional purpose.

Family, tourism or friend visit

You are going to Denmark to visit a relative, friend, or for a tourism purpose, and your stay will not exceed 90 days.

Family member of a Danish citizen or their spouse

You wish to go to Denmark to visit one of your Danish family member. Family member means: the spouse, the direct descendants who are not yet 21 years old or who are financially dependant, the direct ascendants who are financially dependant, and the direct ascendants and descendants who are financially dependant of the spouse.

Employees of Red Carpet companies and their family members (spouse and child)

You are working for a company from red carpet companies and are going to Denmark for a business trip. Moreover, your spouse and/or children might accompany during this trip.

Employees of accredited companies and their family members (spouse and child)

You are working for a company accredited by the Embassy and are going to Denmark for a business trip. Moreover, your spouse and/or children might accompany during this trip.

Student

You are going to Denmark for study purposes.

Other cases

You are going to Denmark for another purpose.

  • Seaman - You are a seaman and you are going to Denmark to board a ship
  • Sport event - You are going to Denmark to attend tournaments
  • Re-entry- You have lost your current Residence & work permit or it has lapsed and you need a new one
